The 10th Annual Marti Estes 5k – Mooresville Community Walk of Faith is on Saturday, April 29th. We are excited and can’t wait see everyone come out and enjoy a great 5k run/walk, enjoy each other’s company, give out some awards, and present our local Mooresville charity with a check from the event’s proceeds.
Here are the race details.
Pre-registration online closes on April th. You will still be able to register at the race packet pick up on Friday (April 28th) or on race morning, April 29th NOTE: Those registering after 3/31 are not guaranteed a t-shirt. While supplies last.
Early Race Packet Pick-up (Friday, April 28 from 4-7pm):
We highly encourage runners and walkers to participate in early race packet pick-up. Race packet pick-up will begin on Friday, April 28th from 4pm – 7pm at First Presbyterian Church in the Fellowship Hall at 249 W. McLelland Avenue, Mooresville, NC 28115. Runners who registered as “timed” will pick up their race numbers at this time. Walkers who registered as “not timed” will receive a bracelet instead of a race number.
Marti Estes Community Team Packet Pick-up (Friday, April 28th from 4-7pm): Community Team captains and team members are encouraged to pick up race packets during early registration on Friday, April 28th from 4pm – 7pm at First Presbyterian Church (same location as above). Please note Community Teams will have a separate table to pick up your registrations.
Race Day Registration and Packet Pick up (Saturday, April 29th):
Runners and Walkers can also pick up their race numbers (runners) or wristbands (walkers) and t-shirts on the morning of the race between 7am and 8:00am. Race Day registration will take place at the First Presbyterian Church Parking Lot/Fellowship Hall at 249 W. McLellan Avenue. NOTE: People registering on Race Day are not guaranteed a race day t-shirt. While supplies last.
IMPORTANT NOTE!!! On Race Day – all who registered to be “timed” will need to pick up a timing chip. We will have a station to distribute these and the chips will be matched to your bib number in the parking lot near the starting line. Upon completion of the race, all timed runners will drop off their “timing chips”.
Race Start (April 29th): 8:30 am start time.
Start area will be located at the Broad St. Parking Lot of First Presbyterian Church (Next to Fellowship Hall and Scout Hut) Actual Start line is located on Center Avenue that is accessed from the First Presbyterian Church parking lot. We will plan to have this event rain or shine.

Race Day Parking (April 29th):
With the start and finish line located only a few blocks away from each other, there are many parking options. Participants can park at any of the following areas:
First Presbyterian Church (use Academy St. Parking lot).
First Baptist Parking Lot/Municipal parking off Church St.
Along Main St. (Downtown parking)
Municipal lot behind downtown shops (Pie In the Sky/Wachovia lots)
Charles Mack Citizens Center (off Main or Church St.in the downtown area)
Parking off Broad St. (Offices at corner of Broad & McLelland)
Post Race Festivities:
After completing the race, please join us for the post race festivities located at Hood Field (the Softball field behind First Baptist Church). Once all the participants have completed the course, we’ll close the event with fellowship and an awards presentation.
We will also have a bus available and following participants along the course should anyone not be able to complete the event or request assistance. Once again, on behalf of the Marti Estes Organizing Committee I want to thank you all for your support of this event. God Bless!
